Electrocardiograph technician or more commonly known as EKG techs are medical experts who conduct electrocardiograph tests. The tests are meant for measuring and recording activities of the heart.

The test is meant for observing patients heart continuously for 24 hours of doing normal activities. This is done by connecting the electrodes and a small EKG machines to the chest of the patient. It is the responsibility of these technicians to make the patients feel comfortable during the whole process. They explain to the patients what the procedure is all about and also record their medical histories. Apart from that, they may also have to schedule the appointments, maintain the test equipment and review patient’s files.
